Drew Henry

Charming. Also not going to lie to you.

Dating and relationship coach, host of The Realistic Romantic, and the person who will tell you the thing your friends have been carefully not saying for about eight months.

Love isn't dead. Most people are just dating without intention, self awareness or emotional clarity.
The belief everything else is built on

Everything here exists to solve that. Not the shortage of matches, not the apps, not whatever the discourse has decided is ruining romance this month. The problem is that most people are dating hard without ever having decided what they want, who they are when they want it, or what they are willing to be honest about.

So this is not dating advice. It is clarity. Clarity about attraction, compatibility, your own patterns, how you communicate, what you are actually worth, and what modern dating culture is doing to all of it. Dating is just where those ideas get applied.

The promise is not that Drew will teach you how to impress someone. It is that he will help you become someone worth building a life with, and help you recognize the same in somebody else.

The approach

A golden retriever who bites.

Warm, charming, genuinely romantic and on your side. Also blunt, observant, sarcastic, and entirely willing to hurt your feelings if that is what it takes to get you out of the situationship.

The point

Honest is not the same as harsh.

You should leave a session feeling seen, challenged and slightly embarrassed, in that order. Anyone can be brutal, and there is a whole industry of men online doing it badly. The difficult part is caring about somebody enough to say the true thing kindly, and then helping them fix it.

Belief

Romance is not embarrassing

Wanting love is not needy, and cynicism is not maturity. It is just a way of getting hurt in advance.

Belief

Chemistry is not compatibility

The spark is information about your nervous system. It is not a forecast, and it is definitely not a plan.

Working with him

What that is actually like.

No discovery call theater, no funnel, no being told your standards are perfect and the world is the problem.

He will
Ask the question you have been steering around. Name the pattern out loud. Give you one specific thing to change first, and tell you why that one.
He will not
Hand you scripts, teach you to manipulate anybody, do gender war content, or perform therapy he is not qualified to perform.
He works with
Women and men, roughly 26 to 40, straight and queer, single and coupled. Capable people who are somehow losing at this specific thing.
He refers out
When what you need is therapy, counselling or crisis support, he will say so in the first ten minutes rather than take the booking.
Things he says

Roughly how a session goes.

Affectionately. Every single time, affectionately.

You say: I think they might just be scared of how they feel. He says: Respectfully, no.

You say: I have a list of thirty three things I need in a partner. He says: You get three. Not thirty three.

You say: Nobody good is left. He says: You're being unrealistic. And you can do better.
